Some supporters of former South African President, Jacob Zuma are calling for his case to be omitted from the roll and terminated.

According to them, they won’t the corruption case omitted until until all legal procedures have taken place.

It could be recalled that the former head of state is currently facing charges of corruption, fraud and money laundering.

Additionally, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has also indicated that the trial of the former president would be postponed in absentia.

The reason behind this was that it was agreed by everyone involved that it is not necessary for them to be at the Pietermaritzburg High Court on Tuesday.

One of the major people in the agreement process is Nkosentsha Shezi who is the Chairperson of the Radical Economic Transformation Champions in KwaZulu-Natal.

Shezi said;

“We have always believed that this case is politically motivated and the State has no winnable case against the former president.

As the MKMVA we have not formally met to discuss that. We have to give Zuma’s legal team time to look at that.”
