A young Nigerian man who is yet-to-be-identified has reportedly been handed over to the police after he was accused of murdering his girlfriend, identified as Kate and burying her in his room.

The incident was said to have happened on Friday July 29th 2022 after the deceased was reported to have gone missing for days and the suspect denied having any knowledge about her whereabouts.
The family who suspected that the young man was not truthful to them confronted him on Friday morning and demanded that he provides the deceased whether she is dead or alive.
After they mounted intense pressure on him, he confessed to have murdered his girlfriend and buried her in a shallow grave he dug in his bedroom.
The suspect was beaten mercilessly by some residents and the relatives of the deceased before he was being handed over to the police for proper investigation.
In other news, two suspected car thieves have reportedly been arrested by the police operatives in Lagos after they forcefully confiscated a Toyota Corolla 2000 model marked: LND-664-GF along the Egbeda road.
The two suspects reported to be ex-convicts identified as Abiodun Nurudeen, 36, and 45-year-old Anthony Richard were arrested at about 1:30.a.m. on Sunday, July 24.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson, revealed in a statement on July 27 that the suspects were freed from the Ikoyi Correctional Facility on May 5 and June 4, 2022, respectively.
A preliminary inquiry, according to Benjamin, showed that the car was stolen around Lekki in Lagos State.
He also urged that the owner of the stolen car should report to the station with an evidence of ownership to claim the car while the suspects will be arraigned at the end of the investigations.
