Earlier today, Akuapem Poloo was handed a 90-days jail term by the Accra High Court presided over by Judge Ruby Aryeetey.

Akuapem Poloo was charged with three counts of publication of obscene materials, engaging in domestic violence, conduct that in any way undermines another person’s privacy or integrity, and engaging in domestic violence namely conduct that in any way detracts or is likely to detract from another person’s dignity and worth as a human being.

This was after she shared a nude photo of herself on social media alongside her seven-year-old son on his birthday in 2020. Earlier, she pleaded not guilty to the charges leveled against her.

In reaction to that, Showboy, a former member of AMG Business has stated that although the law might be working, Akuapem Poloo’s case does not make sense to him.

According to him, there are people in the country who are scamming the innocent of their hard-earned money yet the law only decided to deal with someone who posted a nude photo on social media.
