In a sad report, at least two police officers have been feared dead.
This comes after some unknown gunmen attacked the Divisional Police Headquarters of Ibiaku Ntok Opo, Ikono Local Government Area of Akwa-Ibom State on May 1.
Per what we gathered from a source who spoke with SaharaReporters, the incident occurred at around 3 am as these gunmen who were alleged to be Nnamdi Kanu’s Eastern Security Network members stormed the facility and razed it down.
It was also revealed by the source that a policewoman who was at the facility sustained an injury in the attack while five police vehicles were burnt to ashes and a flag of Nigeria was also stolen.
The source in his submission said;
“Police Divisional Headquarters at Ibiaku Ntok Opo, Ikono LGA of Akwa-Ibom State, has been attacked and razed at about 3 am today. Two policemen have been confirmed killed. A policewoman was injured, five vehicles burnt and a flag stolen. ESN/IPOB carried out the attack.”
