We published this viral story on September 6 of a young aspiring news anchor called Zeinatu Erebong Issahaku whose desire of landing her dream job came crashing down, thanks to popular news anchor, Nana Aba Anamoah.
Apparently the news spread very quickly and it caught the attention of Nana Aba Anamoah who instantly got furious and blocked ghgossip.com on Twitter.
A portion of our story read;
“A social media user identified as Zeinatu Erebong Issahaku, has called out popular news anchor and TV personality Nana Aba Anamoah for the role she played in killing her dreams of becoming a news anchor.
According to the young lady, she thought her long cherished dream of reading news on TV was finally gong to be a reality when she had the chance to audition for the role at GHOne when the opportunity came knocking.
Her chances of landing the role was bolstered when she made it to the next stage but everything came to a grinding halt when Nana Aba, who happens to be one of the panelist demeaned her, making her shed uncontrollable tears and eventually giving up on her dream.”
In a more disturbing fact we have gathered, we got to know that thousands of young Ghanaian men and women besieged the premises of GHOne as early as 3:00 am in bid to pass through the various stages of the audition and get selected.
Actress Victoria Lebene (yes- you guessed right; Kofi Ajorlolo’s pancake) was part of the hopefuls and guess what, she was given preferential treatment.
During the audition, Nana Aba Anamoah ordered for waakye probably during lunch and Vicky joined her to ‘fire’ the food in no time.
I mean how do you eat waakye with one who is coming for an audition; competing for the same slot with thousands of others?
That alone throws away fairness and prejudice through the tiny window of credibility. Ultimately after the ‘grueling’ audition session, Vicky landed the job!
We are not here to teach GHOne how to conduct their own recruitment exercise but if they knew it was Vicky who was suitable for the role, why waste the time of the others- thousands of people for that matter.
So apparently, the job was given to Victoria Lebene because of her friendship with Nana Aba Anamoah.
This is totally unfair!
