Raving Nigerian songstress and performing artiste, Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, known within the showbiz circles as Ayra Starr has made a projection for her recent output, ‘Rush’.

The Mavin Records prodigy who currently leads Apple Music Chart Nigeria with ‘Rush’ has made a prophetic projection that, the masterpiece which was released on Friday September 16, 2022 will soon be the biggest song in the world.

Ayra Starr said; “Number 1, number 1 guys, number 1 around the world, “Rush” is about to become the biggest song in this world, I know that for sure, I’m speaking it into existence…”

‘Rush’ debuted on Apple Music Charts across the globe during its first week of release. The beautifully crafted single as at September 25, 2022 peaked at number 1 on Apple Music Chart Top 100 Nigeria.

MEANWHILE: The CEO of the recording academy, Harvey Manson Jr has made a special announcement regarding Afrobeat at the Grammy Awards.

The Recording Academy is responsible for the annual Grammy Awards, one of the biggest platform that celebrate and award artistic excellence on a global scale. It’s composed of learned academy of musicians, producers, recording engineers and other musical professionals.

The CEO of the recording academy, Harvey Manson Jr, who’s is on a visit to Ghana in an interaction with the press disclosed that, plans are currently being considered to create a category for Afrobeats at the prestigious awards.

He also confirmed that, the academy met with major players in the Afrobeats scene adding that, it has to be a proposal submitted to academy for them to make the decision. This comes after the Recording Academy in June added 5 new categories to the Grammy Awards ahead of the 2023 awards.
