Ghanaian music executive, Richie Mensah has revealed what his label did to persuade Ghanaian songstress, MzVee to be at the label but she left regardless.

It could be recalled that MzVee was signed to Lynx Entertainment for some years, however, she revealed at a point that she was leaving the label.

It has been years since she left and revisiting the situation, Richie Mensah who happens to be the CEO of Lynx Entertainment in a recent interview on 3FM said;

“She left because of the health issues that she was going through. We tried to help her with the health issues, but she wanted to deal with it on her own. Then she built a new team and started again.

MzVee’s case was a very personal thing. She’s said it several times, I mean. The depression that she was going through really affected a lot of things. So I didn’t let MzVee go. One thing is, MzVee stopped the music.”

Meanwhile, Richie has praised the creatives in Ghana as he claims Ghana is blessed with enormous talent and the talent is matchless.

According to Richie Mensah, what is taking Ghana back and not rubbing shoulders competitively is because of effective marketing tactics and lack of infrastructure.

Richie Mensah who currently manages VGMA ‘Artiste of the Year’ winners, KiDi, and Kuami Eugene made this known during an interview on GTV’s Breakfast Show on Thursday.
