“What Have You Done To Uplift Women?” – Nigerians Drag Tiwa Savage On Twitter

A lady on Twitter identified as @bidemi_brooke called out Nigerian Afrobeat queen Tiwa Savage for implying that her fans in Nigerian did not protect her enough.

She claimed Tiwa Savage has done nothing so far in her career as a musician to uplift women in Nigeria.

An online user @Lolly_funk had tweeted: “Nigerian women are always pulling Tiwa Savage down woow… She’s one of the few African women who put the continent on the map but the disrespect she receives from these women is disgusting”

Her tweet triggered a response by Tiwa Savage and it reads;

“It’s always been like that, I doubt it will ever change. Maybe I for just jeje dey yankee dey sing my rnb because I see how hard the Rihanna navy, beehives, barbs protect their own.”

Her tweet incurred the wrath of Twitter users as they bashed her for not impressing fans enough to warrant the needed support she was expecting from them.

Replying to Tiwa Savage’s comment, @bidemi_brooke wrote: “Tiwa the truth is that most women that know their onions do not respect you. You have offered nothing asides from your music which gets you money.

As a woman, top 5 biggest female artists out of Africa, what have you done to uplift women, you have no voice. No cause. Nothing.”
