Popular Nigerian author, Reno Omokri has stated that white wedding which is liked by most ladies in Africa as not a Christian wedding.
According to him, it is time African emancipate themselves from the mental slavery imposed on them by the whites.
In his post, he stated that an individual can marry at home, or at a registry, or according to native custom adding that each of these are acceptable before God, and are not less holy than white weddings.
His full post reads;
“In 2021, leave WHITE WEDDINGS for WHITE people. It is their tradition. Your Black African native wedding is not inferior to a white wedding. Emancipate yourself from the mental slavery of European customs. White wedding is NOT a Christian wedding! You can marry at home, or at a registry, or according to native custom. Each of these are acceptable before God, and are not less holy than white weddings. Read Scripture. You will find Jewish, Palestinian and Babylonian weddings. You won’t find a white wedding!”
