Burna Boy, a Grammy Award-winning singer, has sparked outrage after subtly throwing shades at his colleague, Davido over Davido’s billion-naira project.
This comes after Davido the son of Adedeji Adeleke, a billionaire businessman, spent N2.5 billion on a land home in Lagos’ Banana Island’s high-end.
Burna Boy rushed to Twitter in response to the revelation of the property to confirm his pay, claiming that it is the highest in the music industry.
“And Still … I am the highest paid,” he wrote in a now-deleted tweet.
This, however, elicited conflicting reactions from netizens, with some accusing the musician of being unduly jealous, while others derided him for removing the tweet on the grounds that he was unfit for the job.
