Nollywood actress, disk jockey and presenter, Dorcas Shola-Fapson has disclosed the reason why she grew up hating her mother.

Sharing her life experiences and the relationship she had with her mother, Dorcas disclosed that she did not get to know her mother well and also did not get to know her mother well as a child growing up.

Speaking in an interview, Dorcas Shola Fapson disclosed that her parents relocated to the States when they got married. However, when she was 2 years old, her mother was deported to Nigeria and did not get to grow up seeing her.

She disclosed that her father used to tell her and her other siblings that their mother left them, the reason why they never got to see her growing up. She added that her father did not tell them the truth that their mother was deported but made them believe that she left them and ran away.

Dorcas further added that her dad told them their mother did not love them nor care about them. “I didn’t understand whatever that was happening but growing up, I understood. I thought my mum left us so I hated her”, Dorcas stated.
