Bolanle Olukanle has stated that when a church pastor falls, he should not only confess, but also step down from his position.
After prominent gospel performer Sammie Okposo resigned down from music ministry after admitting to an adulterous affair, the media personality remarked this.
On Tuesday, January 25, the singer apologized publicly to his wife, Ozioma, for cheating on her with a woman from the United States.
Bolanle wrote on social media in response to the news:
“Yes he did a horrible thing and now he has made steps to restore and heal. You can’t be cheating and still ministering. Even if you have repented. Leave the ministry and go and ask youself why you were cheating. Find the foundation of your relationship with God before you lead others,”
“When you cheat and you are in a moral position you must step away from Minstry! You have to. And also it’s soo important to hold yourself accountable and confess. When something is in the dark let it comes to the light so that there is healing!”
In other news, the woman who had an affair with gospel singer Sammie Okposo has spoken up about their relationship.
Prior to Sammie Okposo’s admission of the affair on social media, the lady identified as African Doll revealed that their affair lasted several months and that they had s3x multiple times without protection in an interview on Obodo Oyibo TV.
African Doll, who hardly confirmed nor denied knowing that the gospel singer is married, expressed her awe at being in the presence of a celebrity she had been listening to.
Apart from describing how Sammie Okposo contacted her each time he visited the United States, screenshots of their conversations were shown at various points throughout the interview.
She said their problem started when she told him she was pregnant, and she was willing to cover up for him. Sammie Okposo allegedly told her, “she knows what to do,” which she took to mean getting an abortion.
After African Doll told the musician that she couldn’t make such a decision at the moment, he became enraged, humiliated her, and accused her of attempting to destroy his reputation, according to African Doll.
African Doll, who also accused Sammie Okposo of trying to frighten her, has stated that what they did was unacceptable and that she takes full responsibility.
She further claims that Sammie Okposo informed her that no one will believe her and that if she wants to go to battle with him, he has lawyers in Nigeria and the United States.
She insisted that she wasn’t asking for money and that all she wanted was for him to treat her with respect.
During the conversation, African Doll also mentioned that she intends to keep the baby. When asked if she intends to retain the child, the bold woman replied:
“I will keep the baby, I don’t really believe in abortions. Fornication is a sin. The bible says he who is without sin should cast the first stone. It is not my intention to hurt anybody but to bring life to the situation”
