Ghanaian actress Lydia Forson has dragged a social media user over the debate on the re-registration of SIM cards.

It would be recalled that the minister for communications, Ursula Owusu a few days ago extended the registration of SIM cards and also announced a newly developed app for the registration of the SIM cards which will attract GHC5.

The social media user tried to rubbish those who are yet to re-register their SIM cards. The netizen made a case that most Ghanianas would have queued in the sun without complaining if it was announced that money was being distributed.

He tweeted, “No excuses, if it was free money being shared, you will see how Ghanaians will be jumping over themselves to be paid. Just go and register your SIM card for your own security against cyber fraudsters defrauding you.”

In reaction, Lydia Forson tweeted back, “Kwasia even you, you’re here tweeting nonsense for free money let alone someone who’s hungry. You want poor people to stop their hustle to stand in long lines and risk going to be hungry, for what? You people just FOOL that’s why you’re writing this from a fake account.”
