Also called ‘Benachin’ meaning “one pot” in the Wolof language of Senegal is a popular dish in many parts of West Africa. According to research is originated in Gambia but has since spread to the whole of West Africa, making Ghana and Nigeria claiming originators. Countries like Côte d’Ivoire, Mali and South Africa also are tagged to be people who enjoy the recipe too.
