The Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori Atta, has stated that the president of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo has no intentions of withdrawing the free Senior High School scheme.

Ken Ofori Atta’s claim came after Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah declared that the government’s 16 flagship programs would be reviewed.

According to Ken Ofori Atta in a report by Ghase.com, President Akufo Addo wants the programs safeguarded and well implemented to benefit the citizenry.

“Let me state that President Akufo-Addo has no intention of reversing significant measures like free SHS. We believe education is the greatest way to achieve change. “We will enhance it to better serve our children,

“All 16 flagship programs are up for review. So that the effect is accomplished, the President has ordered that the flagship programs be preserved and fully executed

“However, he wants it done inside item #2, which is our budgetary framework. “We will rescope a flagship program based on the caps we are dealing with and see how much we can achieve,” he told Citi FM in Accr.

In other news, Purity, first child and daughter of Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson has been captured in a loved-up photo with Wizkid’s so Boluwatife.

Purity Johnson and Boluwatife Balogun bumped into each other in the United Arab Emirates, as they are both representing their school at the World Games Event.

A photo shared on Mercy Johnson’s page on Instagram shows the youngsters enjoyed each other’s company. Purity was also pictured in a pose with her father, Prince Okojie who also made the trip to Dubai to support her in the sporting event.

The two celebrity kids wore a broad smile clad in matching outfits for the camera and significantly new friendship births.

Sharing the images, Mercy jokingly wrote; “The ojoro that happens in this house ️ ehh @princeodiokojie and Purity in Dubai….I can’t believe she picked her dad over me infact Henry and I are making our trip next.”
