President and Presidential Aspirant Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has said Ghanaians have not forgotten dumsor and DKM and will vote against former President John Dramani Mahama on December 7, 2020 general elections.

He has said this in an interview with Oman 107.1 Fm in Accra on Friday 4 September, 2020; an interview which was broadcast from the Jubilee House.

His Excellency President Akufo-Addo has said former President John Mahama, during his last administration in office as president of the Republic of Ghana collapsed businesses with dumsor and Ghanaians have not forgotten it hence, will vote against him in the coming elections.

Dumsor, was a persistent, irregular, and unpredictable electric power outage. The frequent blackouts caused by power supply shortage. This got worst at the beginning of 2012 where dumsor schedule went from 24 hours with light and 12 without to 12 hours with light and 24 without light.

Although, the National Democratic Congress says they solved the problem before leaving office in 2016 with the Ameri Power Plants.

Again, president Akufo-Addo reminded Mahama of DKM, said Ghanaians still remember his government couldn’t recoup their money from the bank which was allegedly considered a ponzy for them. And it has taken the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to do so.

He also said the NPP government within three and few months has paid about 98% of all depositors who were affected by banks that the Mahama led NDC government collapsed.

For thises reasons, president Akufo-Addo believes Ghanaians will not vote the NDC into power on December 7.
