Nigerian Afrobeat star, Damini Ogulu popularly called, Burna Boy, has given an explanation as to why people frequently misinterpret him.

During an interview with a foreign media outlet, Dazed after his visit to the Caribbean Island, Burna Boy explained that he keeps being misunderstood by many people because he chose to withhold much of his personality from the public.

Burna added that he attempted to use his most recent album, Love, Damini, as a way to let people get to know him better.

He said;

“I tend to be misunderstood and the reason is that I have never really given anyone a chance to know who I am, and that’s what I tried to do.”

“I tried to use this album to allow people to get closer to me.”

On the #EndSARS protest, Burna said;

“My thoughts don’t matter [on SARS]. I’m not going to encourage young people to lose their lives any more. When something is ready to happen, it will happen. With understanding comes readiness for action.”

More on Burna Boy,  Burna Boy has dropped another music video off his 6th studio album, ‘Love, Damini’.
