Well-known Ghanaian politician, John Boadu will be in affairs as the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the next four years.

This comes after he lost his position at the recently held national delegates congress of the party held at the Accra Sports Stadium.

He lost to the affable Justin Frimpong Kodua and the contest can be said to be a keenly contested one as the margin was not more than 400 votes.

Justin Frimpong Kodua, popularly called JFK polled 2,857 votes while Mr. John Boadu obtained 2,524 votes.

In an earlier submission, John Boadu claimed that Ghanaians are lucky and this is all because they have someone who knows governance and economic management like Nana Addo serving as president at a point like this.

In his view, if John Mahama was in power at this dire time, things would have been very worse adding that although there is a global recession and hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Nana Addo has been able to sustain the economy.

In his submission, he said;

“We (NPP) are far better managers of this economy than they can think of. We are lucky that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s government is in power in times of this drastic shock; the twin problem of COVID and fuel price increases.

They (the NDC) didn’t experience that, but we saw what they managed to perform. He (Mahama) wouldn’t perform anything better than what has been done.”
