The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) says the mining sector will be in serious shambles if NDC’s Mahama is voted back into power.
Speaking on Wontumi Radio, 101.3 in Kumasi; Ashanti Region on Wednesday 2 September, 2020, Chairman Wontumi pleads with Ghanaians to not vote for former president John Dramani Mahama because his government will focus on benefiting solely himself and family of the mineral resources meant for the development of the country.
He alleged in his argument that the former president together with his brother Ibrahim Mahama connived and condoned in illegal mining and took largest concessions for themselves.
Wontumi’s allegations has been challenged by pro NDC members, condemning his allegations for lacking evidence.
They argue his allegations are all propaganda campaign messages for election 2020, hence the good people of Ghana should bogus his claims.
Nonetheless, it’s a recorded fact that the Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman has a banta with ex president Mahama and Ibrahim Mahama on mining, especially with gold.
Ibrahim Mahama sued Chairman Wontumi on same allegations in which he demanded GHC 5 million as compensation.
