Minority leader in Parliament Haruna Iddrisu has asked NDC faithfuls and the public to disregard posters and stories pointing to the fact that he will seek to lead the National Democratic Congress in the 2024 election.

According to him, this is an agenda to bring unrest in the National Democratic Congress
(NDC).

DISREGARD POSTERS PROJECTING ME
FOR PRESIDENT 2024

attention has been drawn to some posters and publications making rounds on social media which purports to present me as running for the office of President of the Republic of Ghana for 2024 on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

I hold the view that the people of Ghana can easily dismiss such claims and attribute same to the figment of the fertile imaginations of unseen hands, I find it necessary to make a public statement on the matter.

I urge the general public to disregard the posters making the rounds and to treat same with the serious contempt they deserve. I have never owned or worn a black three-piece suit as the picture being circulated sought to portray.

The picture can only be the product of mischief.
These acts are calculated and intended to disorganize the rank and file of the NDC.
I have a duty to lead the NDC Party in Parliament with the ultimate objective of holding President Nana Akufo-Addo and his Government accountable for the mandate handed him until 2024.

My primary preoccupation is to see the NDC regain power after the 2024 general elections with a majority in Parliament.

I have made no declarations, I have made no
intentions, neither have I communicated same. My political future is in the hands of God.
I urge the general public to dismiss any such
publications in circulation with the contempt they deserve, and further disregard any such further publications.
