Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Information Minister has disclosed that the President’s directive for Auditor General to proceed on accumulative leave is not a plot to sack him by the government.

Speaking in an interview on GhoneTv has explained that the Auditor General will resume his work once his leave is time exhausted.

The Auditor-General, Mr. Daniel Domelevo was directed by the President to take his 167-day accumulative leave in June.

The directive attracted heavy backlash from neutral patriots and some anti-corruption agencies that the move is a bad idea as the government wants to cover up some corruption acts.

Some people have also stated that Mr. Domelevo will be replaced after his leave is exhausted but the information minister claims that’s not the intention of President, Nana Addo.

He said the Auditor General has not been sacked but on Tuesday, it was disclosed that the office of Mr. Demelevo locks has been changed.
