Private legal practitioner, Maurice Ampaw has taken a swipe at Members of Parliament demanding to have securities following them for safety.
This follows after the murder of the Parliamentary Representative for Mfantisman Constituency, Ekow Hayford. According to the controversial lawyer, the request of the Members of Parliament does not have any basis, adding that the money which will be used to hire securities is of personal investment.

Speaking on Wontumi TV’s law show, Maurice Ampaw stated that the Members of Parliament are only interested in their own safety.
“Look, nobody will provide you with security. Even the police officers in this nation don’t have it. Look at where they sleep. They must device ways and means to secure themselves,” Maurice Ampaw stated emphatically.

“You’ve made yourselves so annoying because you go out there promising, I will give you this, I will give you that. You’ve created an impression that you are living a comfortable life. They don’t speak the truth to the constituents.”
