Sarkodie has been given the plaque he won at the last edition of the AFRIMA awards held in Accra.

The iconic rapper won the BEST MALE ARTIST IN AFRICAN INSPIRATIONAL MUSIC with his song “Glory” featuring Yung from Nigeria.

Sarkodie thanked his teeming followers for making it possible for him to win the award.

He wrote;

“Finally I got my afrimma award and thanks to God and the fans for the support this is for you … shouts to my brother @yunglmrmarley for that amazing timeless record … and late last year I was supposed to fly out to Europe for a tour but that didn’t happen but this year we will make it happen … see ya”.

The last edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA)  

took place for the first time in Ghana at the Accra International Conference Center

Six Ghanaian musicians; Sarkodie, M.naifest, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, KiDi, Guilty Beatz and Kuami Eugene picked up top awards on the night.
