Former Member of Parliament for Kumbungu Ras Mubarak has stated that the current minority leadership in parliament have lost it following the resignation of Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa .

Speaking on Citi FM , Ras Mubarak noted that the minority caucus in parliament have not demonstrated enough leadership.

“As far as I am concerned, there is a leadership crisis, and as far as I am concerned, the Minority caucus in Parliament has not demonstrated leadership especially in the approval of Ken Ofori-Addo for which reason I am of the opinion that…the current crop leadership has lost steam”,he said.

Okudzeto Ablakwa in a letter addressed to the Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin yesterday 31st March,2021, noted that he has resigned from the appointments committee with immediate effect.

“I shall like to state that the reasons for this difficult decision is both personal and on principle”, the letter said.

“Respectfully, do take note that my resignation is with immediate effect and therefore I shall not be available for the vetting of nominees for Deputy Ministerial positions.”
