Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has dismissed the claim that e-taxation will solve all of Ghana’s problems.

According to the Ofoase Ayirebi MP, whilst addressing a questioner at a news conference in Accra, Wednesday, January 19, by Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta, no government official has ever said that E-levy will address all of Ghana’s problems.

“We have not stated that the E-levy will solve all of our problems,” the Ofoase Ayirebi lawmaker stated.

“The e-levy is one of several revenue measures designed to raise the resources necessary for the appropriation of approximately 145 billion. Therefore, it is critical to place that in context even before we get to the answers.”

Parliament is embattled with the approval of over the E-levy proposal in the 2022 budget statement as the opposition party MPs have rejected the E-Levy proposal.
