Former Member of Parliament for Kumbungu, Ras Mubarak has noted that the resignation of Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa ,Noth Tongu Member of Parliament,from the Appointments Committee shows he is a politician with strong convictions.
Okudzeto Ablakwa in a letter addressed to the Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin noted that he has resigned from the appointments committee with immediate effect.

“I shall like to state that the reasons for this difficult decision is both personal and on principle”, the letter said.
“Respectfully, do take note that my resignation is with immediate effect and therefore I shall not be available for the vetting of nominees for Deputy Ministerial positions.”
Reacting to the resignation of Okudzeto Ablakwa in twitter post,Ras Mubarak wrote;
“Courageous politician with conviction”.
Ras Mubarak bin an earlier interview has also noted that the resignation of Okudzeto signals no confidence in leadership of NDC in parliaments and most especially Haruna Iddrisu.
