The flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Mahama has thrown some shots at the sitting president Nana Akuffo Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
During one of his campaigns Mr Mahama has urged residents in the Upper West Region to support the NDC and recapture power from the ruling president, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo and his NPP government.

Addressing the gathered crowd, Mr Mahama told the crowd that the sitting president Nana Addo is older and has a short time on earth to live. He stressed that if there is a comparison between them, naturally Nana Akuffo Addo will die first before many young Ghanaians.
