John Raymond Henry Cause Of Death – American sculptor John Raymond Henry was born in 1943. Henry’s sculpture has been described as enormous welded steel drawings.

He graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a BFA in 1969. From 1978 to 1980, he served as ConStruct’s president and chairman.

Henry received an Honorary Doctor of Arts degree from the University of Kentucky in 1996. From 2001 to 2002, he served as the Chairman of the International Sculpture Center.

John Henry, who has a studio in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is known for his extensive public artistic endeavors. In 2008, simultaneous exhibitions of his enormous outdoor sculptures were held throughout Florida.

Throughout his life, he was highly recognized for his works and some of the recognition that he received are Kentucky Governor’s National Award and Mayor’s Award of Distinction in the Arts in City of Chattanooga.

His wife is known as Pamela, and when John’s studio was located in Chattanooga, he and Pamela first had the idea for Sculpture Fields. They spearheaded a grassroots campaign to establish an international sculpture park, which opened in 2016.

It was said that John Henry contributed to the legacy of Chattanooga’s forward-thinking pioneers by enhancing the local community’s cultural life.

Internationally, John Henry is best known for his massive abstract sculptures made of welded steel beams and monoliths that are intersected.

He constructs all of his sculptures in the studio, including the engineering, welding, and placement of linear and planar pieces of colored steel in precariously balanced configurations.

John’s artwork is displayed all over the world, including in public spaces and at entrances to international corporate headquarters.

In response to a question about his work in 2015, he told Nashville Arts Magazine that he preferred to refer to himself less as a sculptor and more as a builder. He compared the builder terminology to artists who prefer to express themselves through intuition and inner vision as opposed to literary vocabulary.
