This is why some male celebrities who are said to be gays have not openly declared their position as opposed to the Western world where celebrities publicly tell the world they are gays. In this article, we will wrap our heads around these rumours and how the celebs responded to them.

1. Nana Tornado

Nana Tornado is no stranger to controversies. He recently blasted Christians and mocked their faith, saying the Jesus and Bible concept is utterly nonsense. Aside from that, the actor who rose to prominence through the Afia Schwarzenegger series has been accused of being gay owing to his effeminacy. Although he has on numerous occasions denied being gay, Ghanaians still hang the tag on his feminine neck by force.

Nana Tornado rubbished the claim to DJ Advicer on Happy FM’s drive time show Ayekoo sometime ago. He was heard saying; ‘My first girlfriend was a Philipino and we started dating when I was 17 and had run away from home.the I lived in the Philippines for three years but we could not settle down in marriage,’ he said.

Nana Tornado explained that even though he broke things off with his former Philippino girlfriend they are still very good friends. Currently, she is married with two kids and I have a thirteen year old daughter. We are best friends, he added.

2. Nana Yeboah

New Kumawood sensation, Nana Yaboah whose feminine attributes convince everyone that he’s gay, has denied on numerous occasions that he’s gay. The ‘insulting papa’ told Showbiz about this rumour and the fact that he likes insults too much, saying, ‘You don’t expect me to laugh with you when you call me girlish or gay, I will not spare you at all. I am not happy when such comments are made about me. I have heard one or two comments about that but I can never be gay. I am faithful to my wife and I have two sets of twins. As for being gay, I will never be, not even in my next life.’

3. Chris Attoh

According to wild rumours from the grapevine, Chris Attoh’s marriage to Nigerian actress Damilola Adegbite crashed because he’s gay. However, Chris Attoh has denied the rumours numerous times by insisting that the rumour was started by a lady who wanted to sleep with him. According to him, the lady, who was a fan, approached him in the ‘green room’ wearing jacket after he finished hosting a show at the National Theatre, suggesting the lady was naked.

Speaking to Angel TV to debunk the rumours, the actor said: ‘The only time I heard about that (being gay) was a young lady friend who promised me she was going to make sure that the industry thought I am gay. And this was after I hosted a show at the National Theatre one evening. I finished and was walking back to my green room. I was really really tired. I wasn’t in the mood for anything but there was a young lady who came to introduce herself as a fan and she had nothing but a jacket on and she took the jacket off.

I don’t think the rating of the show will allow but long story short, I didn’t yield to it. I was very hot because I was going for some money. Apart from that I also felt … a piece of meat. It wasn’t something that was attractive and packaged. But long story short before I left the room and I asked her to put her clothes on, she promised me she was going to go to every press to tell them I am gay because she gave herself to me and I did nothing. This is a long time ago. So that is the only time I remember and I probably did hear I’m gay but I didn’t know it’s that serious.’
