A viral report which permeated social media some hours ago suggested Joselyn Dumas and her colleague John Dumelo dated for two years during the former’s interview on Abeiku Santana’s Atuu TV programe.
In a dramatic twist, it turns out that Abeiku and his producers edited portions of her interview which prove Joselyn never said she dated John Dumelo.
The situation has compelled UTV and the Despite Group have apologized to her. The ‘original’ interview has it that Joselyn Dumas never dated John and that she only grew fond of him after they featured in about three movies.
“I never dated John Dumelo. I didn’t have a crush on John Dumelo. However, I got fond of him.
He became my very good friend. We were friends, he liked me and I also liked him and that was it,” she said in response to Abeiku’s question if she ever dated John.
