Seasoned broadcast journalist, Nana Aba Anamoah has consoled Hon.Aponkye after his loss in the District Assembly and Unit Committee elections that was held on December 17, 2019.
She has also advised him not organize any demonstration with his fans . From a telephone chat between Nana Aba Anamoah and Hon.Aponkye posted on social media, Nana Aba Anamoah asked Hon.Aponkye to accept the defeat in good faith and possibly try another time.

Nana Adabor Ibrahim Isaah Ampim, popularly known as Hon. Aponkye, rejected the district Assembly election results for the area alleging fraud.
The failed Assemblyman, according to provisional results from the Electoral Commission, polled 234 representing 9% of the total votes cast.
He was beaten by Hon. Abdul Rashid who polled 1,056 representing 40%.
