Kennedy Agyapong has threatened to expose all the ‘big men’ affiliated to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) who are heavily involved in galamsey (a local slang for illegal mining).

Speaking in a fresh interview on Asempa FM, the maverick lawmaker who represents the people of Assin Central in parliament described these faceless people as ‘greedy bastards’ who are tarnishing the President’s reputation and undermining his effort in his relentless fight against galamsey.

He threatened to expose them if they fail to stop the illegal mining in a strongly worded caution during the interview saying; “NPP executives are greedy bastards in galamsey. I have given them a warning that if any of them should say a word, I will bring out the list of them including NDC members.”.

“The trust Ghanaians have in the president is being tarnished by those around him. I don’t think his age of 78, he is thinking of himself not to let us do illegal mining but for the interest of the country,” he added.

On the same platform, the lawmaker and business magnate, Kennedy Agyapong has revealed that he sacked his own son three times from his role as director of Ken City Media.

The brash politician, known widely for raining insults at his political opponents and anyone who steps on his toes, said he did that to equip his son with more wisdom so he’ll be in a better position to take after his companies when he’s no more.

The Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP) said despite his fortune, he does not pamper his children and makes them understand that he has worked for all he has and they have to do the same.

“If you want your children to learn, when you are giving them monies complain bitterly, let them know that you didn’t get the money on a silver platter,” he said.
