One of the communications team members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Freda Prempeh Agyemang has asked the member of parliament Adwao Sarfo to resign if she is not ready to work.
The member of parliament for Dome-Kwabenya Adwoa Sarfo has been out of the country for months and has abandoned her ministerial position as the Gender, Children, and Social Protection.

During a recent interview on Joy News, a member of Parliament who has been making headlines over her absence in parliament said that she is currently in the States to look after her son who is not feeling well, and must attend to him. She also disclosed that President Nana Addo is aware of her absence.
A new reaction from Freda Prempeh Agyemang on the Movement In The Morning Political show stated that Adwoa Safo has no justifications for her absence.
“You should just call the president and tell him that you can no longer do the job. There are many capable women who can occupy your ministerial position. You cannot be holding the ministry to ransom”, she said.
Adwoa Safo has really disappointed the few of us who had to break our back to campaign vigorously for her to be elected as the Dome-Kwabenya MP”, she revealed.

In explaining why she describes the excuse given by Sarah Adwoa Safo as flimsy, Freda noted that the seven women including her who had to campaign to ensure Adwoa Safo is elected had children too. Adding that but for the sake of Adwoa Sarfo, they had to leave their children to campaign for her both day and night.
“How then do you travel overseas for close to a year with the excuse that your son is sick abandoning your Ministry and constituents”, she asked.
“Adwoa Safo knows the right thing to do and I’m not the one to tell the president to ‘fire’ her”, she added.
