Who Are Xavi Simons Parents? – The Dutch professional footballer Xavier Quentin Shay Simons, better known by his nickname Xavi Simons, is a midfielder for PSV at the moment in the Eredivisie.

Xavi Simons biography

The son of former Dutch footballer Regillio Simons, Xavi Simons was born in Amsterdam. Simons, whose father is Surinamese, shares his birthday with his older brother Faustino (born 1996), a football player.

In 2010, Simons transferred from CD Tháder to Barcelona’s youth program, where he quickly rose through the ranks to become one of the Spanish club’s most highly regarded young players. Real Madrid and Chelsea, two of the biggest clubs in La Liga in Spain, reportedly made early attempts to sign him.

After failing to reach an agreement with Barcelona regarding a new contract, Simons joined Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in July 2019. It was reported that his three-year deal with the Paris club could have paid up to €1 million annually.

Simons made his PSG debut as a substitute for Julian Draxler in a 1-0 win over Caen in the Coupe de France.

He made his Ligue 1 debut as a substitute in a 4-1 win over Strasbourg two months later, and he was also a member of the PSG team that won the Coupe de France in May 2021.

Simons agreed to a five-year contract with PSV in June 2022. Initially, he was expected to extend his contract with PSG and join PSV on loan, but this changed when PSV decided against a loan deal. On July 30, Simons scored his first goal for the club in a 5-3 win over rivals Ajax in the Johan Cruyff Shield.

Simons has competed at the U-15, U-16, U-17, U-19, and U-21 levels for the Netherlands. Simons was selected for the 2022 FIFA World Cup preliminary team in October 2022.
