Ghanaians and the football fraternity woke up to a frenzy after it was rumored that Blackstars skipper Asamoah Gyan is seeking for a divorce from his wife of five(5) years and as well seeking to do a DNA test on all his three kids.
In a news item sighted on ghbase.com, Asamoah Gyan was fully aware of that marriage and that it was never a REAL MARRIAGE as she needed a Visa back then and after several attempts at getting one to do a fibroid operation in the UK, she had to get into a marriage of convenience just to get the Visa back in 2002 to travel and it was her Uncle who did that for her.

Following this development, Asamoah Gyan’s brother, Baffour Gyan has seized her passport, preventing her from traveling to the UK, and her kids school in the UK and she has to go back, but Gyan’s brother has seized her passport.
The report noted that Gifty Gyan reported the issue to a police station as Gyan’s brother had no right to seize her passport no matter what but he’ failed to explain to the police why he has her passport.

His wife Gifty Gyan met Asamoah Gyan back in 2002 and they started dating officially in 2003 while Gyan was just starting his career at Liberty Professional and didn’t have anything at all.
They gave birth to their first born Federick Gyan in 2006 and two others followed years later, but as it stands now, Gyan doubts he’s the father of the 3 kids.

Prior to the brouhaha, Asamoah Gyan had not spoken to his wife since August or even texted her to ask how the kids are doing.
However, it has been alleged that he’s head over heels with his landlord Nina Atalah and can’t just wait to marry her after a successful divorce with Gifty.
