The President of the Republic, Nana Akufo-Addo has disclosed that his government is considering free tertiary.

Before the 2016 elections the NPP which was then the opposition party promised Ghanaians free senior high school after capturing powers and has successfully implemented the policy.

President Nana Addo speaking in an interview on Kumasi base radio channel Wontumi FM, he expressed that the greatest investment to make in a country is about investing in the education system.

Hence he decided to ease stress on parents by slashing fees of students pursuing their education in the senior high school.

According to him, Putting things high, his government is likely to implement free tertiary education just like he did for the SHS.

He stated that he don’t want to give timeline but he’s sure it can be possible to add that too.

He however added that for now, they have put down student loan for tertiary level students to help them cater for their needs while in school.
