Frankin Cudjoe, President of IMANI Africa has said in a new post on Facebook that the president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo has enough money to fix the country.

He further added, albeit sarcastically that the 77-years old ruler has suffered ‘muscle pull’ because he was in much hurry to fix the country when he attained power. He made the comment in consonance with the agitations that have erupted amongst Ghanaians underpinned in the new political movement dubbed ‘Fix the country.’

The #Fixthecountry which started massively on social media, is designed to put pressure on the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) under the stewardship of Nana Akufo Ad do. The campaigners want the government to bring the country back on track following the worsening economic conditions and decline in the living standards of the citizens.

However, Mr Cudjoe believes the President needs prayers because he and his government do not have money problems because they’ve borrowed enough since they resumed office.

“I know, but e get muscle pull as he starts dey race. E no bi money problem too, because the money dieer he borrows Chao. Covid too slow am, but he get plenty covid money too oh. Anyways e dey hia prayers. I go pray give am tonight. Make we help am succeed. Amen.”

In a related development, Ghanaian journalist Gary Al-Smith descended heavily on New Patriotic (NPP) fanatics downplaying the #Fixthecountry campaign.

After spending most of yesterday telling us #FixYourSelf and #FixYourAttitude, they’ve noticed that isn’t a good response. So it is now #NanaIsFixingIt and #GhanaIsBeingFixed.I want to say ‘Nana is fixing onyɛ’ but it’s too early. Just #FixTheCountry because you’ve got the power.
